The Visionaire is certainly a trend-setter on a national level. This
is one of New York’s first all green buildings- a huge leap forward
for city dwellers. The building entices the eye with a curved curtain wall of horizontal bands of terra cotta panels and glass casement windows designed by Rafael Pelli. A computerized 24-hour air supply monitoring system keeps the building’s supply of fresh,
clean air available at all times. All faucets are designed to filter
each ounce of water that passes through, and there is even an
in-building wastewater treatment system that re-supplies toilets
and central air-conditioning makeup water, conserving water use
for environmentally responsible living. You can enjoy the green
-designed roof garden that harvests rainwater to reduce runoff.
Eco-friendly paints, sealants, and adhesives that emit low or
very little volatile organic compounds (VOC) have been used to increase the interior air quality. |

Each residence features sustainably harvested wood floors and an open kitchen finished with natural materials. The master baths are highlighted by teak cabinetry, limestone flooring, impressive fixtures, and glass tile mosaics. If all that is not impressive enough, views from this Battery Park building are of the Hudson River Harbor, the Statue of Liberty, and the downtown Manhattan. Studio, one, two, and three bedroom units are available.

There is currently an empty lot to the block just south of the Visionaire (between Visionaire and Ritz Carlton residences) and on some of the artist renderings it show another high rise building in that spot. Does anyone know what that building is going to be? I ask as all the apartments which face south would be potentially blocked by that building.
