Forte

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

Forte Condominium is in the center of Brooklyn’s Fort Greene neighborhood and on the edge of the super-hyped BAM district. Forte’s proximity to other popular growing neighborhoods including Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, Carroll Gardens, Clinton Hill, and Williamsburg make this an exciting place to live. Forte is somehow in the middle of it all, yet slightly separate. Some of Brooklyn’s top eateries can be found just blocks from the Forte, including Rice, Ici, The Greene Grape, and Scopello. The building has a 24 hour attended lobby, state of the art fitness center, landscaped roof deck, and a manicured street level plaza.

This expansive building has no more than 4 residences per floor, each with exquisite details. The sleek, flat front cabinetry in the kitchen comes in contrasting stark white and rich dark wood coloring. Undermounted stainless steel sinks with garbage disposals and chrome fixtures are standard. The master baths include Thassos marble, rich slate floorings, figured sycamore vanities, and exquisite granite countertops. There are chic polished-chrome fittings by Dornbracht, large vanity mirrors, and Zuma soaking tubs (or seamless glass showers). Views from the A-line condo (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) are of bustling downtown Manhattan, and include the Empire State Building and East River.

The Terraces at Court Street offer one, two, and three bedroom condo units on the edgeof Brooklyn’s up and coming Carroll Gardens neighborhood. There are 25 loft-like residences, most with small outdoor spaces to be enjoyed. Penthouses have balconies and individual sky boxes, and city views start at just the fourth floor. Ceiling heights range from 9’5” to a soaring 15’. A subway station is only 2 blocks away, so you’re never more than a few minutes from Manhattan. There is also on-site parking. Each unit has enormous (nearly 6’) windows that lend an open, airy feeling.

These captivating condos offer many modern conveniences including walk-in showers in most master baths, and expansive closets. Amenities include a full-time superintendent, high speed internet, a washer and dyer hookup, stainless steel appliances, and video security. Kitchens boast honed-marble countertops, floating center islands, chestnut stained cabinetry with glass elements, and 36” Viking ranges. Bathrooms have real cast iron tubs. Solid wood, wide panel red oak lines the floors. There is a common rooftop Skybox recreational area, complete with a Frank Gehry-designed outdoor decor and spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline. Most units also have “Juliet” step-out balconies to enjoy temperate
weather and the promising views.
