FX Fowle Architects, the winner of many awards for its design of the New York Times Building, is now offering up a residential development to discerning buyers. The 18-story building is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, an area known for its museums and classy boutiques. Isis Condominiums will feature 32 spacious full and half-floor units, all with upscale amenities and brand-name decor, like Subzero refrigerators and Poggenpohl kitchen cabinetry.

Those who choose Isis Condominiums as their new home will find a lot of design treats. Windows are oversized and plentiful, letting light sweep through the units. High ceilings accentuate the spacious feel, and hardwood floorings encourage elegance. Cozy Kitchens have quartz countertops, and include a Sharp microwave. The luxury master baths have Kohler tubs with steam showers and radiant flooring. Most units have a balcony or private terrace for nights of quiet contemplation. Of course, one of the things residents won’t have to think about is their safety, as the building is equipped with a video intercom security system. For residents with a penchant for social get-togethers, the development has a common roof terrace, a perfect place for reunions or casual parties.

While the development is light on recreational amenities, residents will always have something to do around the neighborhood. Each of the building’s 35 units boasts solid oak herringbone flooring throughout and bathrooms with mosaic tile and marble, as well as brand-name fixtures. Couples never again have to worry about being too hot or cold because of their spouses’ climate preferences. Each unit is equipped with smart home technology, in particular multi-zoned heated and air that can be individually controlled from room to room. Units of 235 West 71 have from 1930-4761 square-feet of living space, and offer as many as six bedrooms. Although many of the condominiums are already in contract, there are a few still available, with a starting price of $5.4 million for just under 2900 square feet; the highest-priced unit is $8.85 million.
